H’Sao is a family and a band. Caleb, Mossbass, Isra-l and Taroum Rimtobaye and their childhood friends, Charles and Service Ledjebgue are originally from Chad and now based in Montreal. As well as all being multi-instrumentalists and composers, group members are also virtuoso singers, with amazing a cappella harmonies, and stunning dancers.
This young, talented group draws inspiration from Gospel, traditional African music and its Chadian roots. To this they add a love of Soul, R&B and Jazz and blend all these styles with a joyous appreciation of African rhythms. They have toured from France to Australia, by way of Haiti, Sweden and South Africa.
